Skills Bootcamps are free, flexible courses of up to 16 weeks for adults aged 19 or over. They give people the opportunity to build up valuable sector-specific skills based on local employer demand and provide a direct path to a job on completion.
Skills Bootcamps are primarily aimed at delivering flexible training at levels 3-5 (medium to higher level technical skills), and level 2 in some sectors.
They are co-designed or shaped with employers to respond to their skills shortages.
Out Skills Bootcamps offer is for adults who are either employed or self-employed.
Employer Contribution: SME - 10%, Large Employer - 30%, Self-Employed - 0%
To access this funding, you must be:
Be aged 19 or over
Be employed or self-employed
Live or Work in West Midlands, England
Have the right to work in the UK
Employers must demonstrate one or more of the following positive impacts would be applicable at the end of the training:
Advancement in pay or salary as a result of the training
Offer of a new job or apprenticeship
Increased opportunities or contracts for the company
Promotion or enhancement in current role
If you are self-employed, you could still be eligible funding if you demonstrate that there would be an increase in services offer at the end of the Bootcamp training.
If you are currently employed are able to demonstrate improved work/job prospects or an advancement in career as a result of the training, then you should be eligible.
