Level 3 Award in Installation of Small Scale Photovoltaic Systems
Overview
This qualification allows the learner to acquire underpinning knowledge and related skills for the installation of small scale solar photovoltaic systems. This qualification has a knowledge and performance unit which between them cover the competencies for the installation of small-scale solar PV systems. It is specifically for electricians who wish to upgrade their skills.
Entry Requirements
Learners must be at least 19 years old and have an N/SVQ 3 in Electrical Installation (Buildings and Structures) or equivalent earlier certification that provides evidence of competence. In addition, if not included in the above, current certification of BS 7671 Requirements for Electrical Installations.
Method of Assessment
The qualification is assessed by a mixture of an on-screen exam, and practical assessment.
